Here comes the Oreo wine
    2021-12-10  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

FOR years, Oreo has called itself “milk’s favorite cookie.” Now it’s aiming for a different glass. The Mondelēz International brand said it wants to be known as “wine’s favorite cookie.”

Every wine enthusiast has a specific style of wine they prefer. Whether it’s red or white, fruity or earthy, full-bodied or light-bodied; every wine has a specific flavor profile for drinkers to choose. However, this new wine may be hard for anyone to turn down, especially chocolate lovers. Oreo and Barefoot Wine teamed up to create a new cookie-flavored wine that has many wine enthusiasts intrigued.

The wine is available starting Thursday for US$24.99 on Barefoot Wine’s website. Each delivery order includes two bottles of the 750ml wine and a package of Oreo Thins cookies.

The red blend includes “flavors of chocolate and cookies and creme along with notes of oak,” the companies said.

Chocolate-flavored wine and beer aren’t new or unheard of, and there are also wine-infused chocolates.

Sydney Kranzmann, Oreo Thins brand manager, said the crispier Oreo Thins are “the perfect Oreo cookie for adults — so we are excited to showcase a new grown-up pairing with Barefoot Wine.”(SD-Agencies)
