SHINHAN Card will start big data consulting business in Europe for the first time as a South Korean financial service company.

Shinhan Card announced that it held a briefing on joint research and business of Italian culture and tourism big data with Exo Ricerca, a big data institute in Italy, and the Korea Culture and Tourism Institute (KCTI).

Shinhan Card, Exo Ricerca, and the KCTI agreed to carry out consulting projects to support the policies to revitalize the tourism industry of European local governments in Europe, including Italy. Since the beginning of this year, Shinhan Card and Exo Ricerca have conducted a pilot study project to analyze tourism consumption in Basilicata, Italy.

Shinhan Card is planning to conduct analysis projects using various data related to culture, tourism, digital, and transportation with Exo Ricerca to participate in the COVID-19 recovery program of the Italian Government. Shinhan Card will also expand its big data analysis capabilities to major European countries and develop cultural and tourism data products in European countries.

Exo Ricerca is a big data research institute established in Italy in 2011 and is currently carrying out various projects, including industry-academic cooperation big data analysis projects.
