Embark on a fine art and musical journey
    2021-12-23  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

Let’s enter a magical gallery and embark on an extraordinary art journey!

During Lena’s summer vacation, the little girl goes to visit her grandpa. He loves Lena but gets more and more lost in his own world with each stroke of his paintbrush. Lena has no interest in painting, nor in the album of paintings that grandpa gives her. She feels bored by it all.

One night, after grandpa falls asleep, Lena falls into her own rabbit hole into a hidden world of classical paintings. Guided by the fireflies flying out of the album, she gets into a moon boat.

She sails through “The Starry Night” by Van Gogh and enters a fascinating world: a magical gallery where paintings are brought to life. She meets the gallery guard, and together they encounter collapsing Kandinsky, magical Monet and dashing Da Vinci.

“One Starry Night — Out of the Blue” combines art and education. At the multimedia show, children will encounter 28 pieces painted by nine masters including Van Gogh, Monet and Da Vinci. Renowned ancient Chinese paintings by Wang Ximeng and Zhang Zeduan are also featured in the show to highlight the diversity of the world’s fine arts. By creating such a poetic, touching and joyful environment, children are inspired to explore the beauty of art.

Throughout the show, the performers revive masterpieces in a magical way. They pick water lilies out from Monet’s paintings and then become a part of the art. The show is full of fun and joy, which allows children to naturally cultivate an interest in art.

At the show, every child receives a “magic” brush, a customized interactive prop. Throughout the show, everyone is able to “paint” with it, creating a special painting together.

The music is particularly tailored according to the development of plots. Classical melodies composed by well-known musicians, such as Mozart, Chopin and Debussy, are perfectly integrated into every scene.

With colorful master paintings and magic tricks woven together, the production team makes the show not only a vivid artistic perception, but also an impressive piano concert, even a moment of musical enlightenment.
