






GANZHOU-Shenzhen High-speed Railway started operation Dec. 10. The travel time for a one-way trip between Shenzhen and Nanchang has been cut to 3 hours 30 minutes from the previous 5 hours and 32 minutes, while the trip between Shenzhen and Ganzhou takes only 1 hour and 49 minutes. The Ganzhou-Shenzhen High-speed Railway runs 434 kilometers between Ganzhou in Jiangxi Province and Shenzhen via Heyuan, Huizhou and Dongguan in Guangdong Province. It has 14 stations, including nine in Guangdong, where the section spans 301 kilometers. During the early stage, the railway operator will arrange 22 round-trips on the line and the train speed will be controlled at a maximum of 300 kilometers per hour. Starting from Jan. 10 when the new national operation schedule is introduced, the operator will deploy a maximum of 92 pairs of trains. (SD-Agencies) |
