Kohler showcases new smart home products at CES 2022
    2022-01-05  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

KOHLER has brought a string of smart home products at CES 2022 in the United States.

If you hate waiting for the bathtub to fill with water, Kohler’s new PerfectFill controller might appeal. Using the Kohler app, or an Alexa or Google Assistant voice command, PerfectFill is supposed to fill your bathtub to a preset level and temperature. Kohler says PerfectFill will go on sale in May starting at US$2,700.

In addition to PerfectFill, Kohler is also introducing the US$199 Touchless Residential Bathroom Faucet. Previously only available for its kitchen products, the battery-powered Touchless line makes it possible to turn the water on and off with simple hand gestures, though you’ll still need to use a physical handle to set your preferred temperature. The faucet will automatically switch off after two minutes and when you set it to Vacation Mode, users can be assured it won’t turn on accidentally while they’re away.

Another addition to the Kohler bathroom lineup includes the Statement Showering Collection and Anthem Valves and Controls. The new Statement Collection includes new shower heads, body sprays and other shower nozzles that start at US$110. The Anthem valves, which start at US$795, are supposed to work with the Statement Collection fixtures, and be controlled via the Kohler app and voice assistants.

Kohler brand Robern has a new product as well, the US$449 IQ Digital Lock Box. Robern makes a variety of medicine cabinets, but this model is designed like a safe so you can protect medicines or other important items in your bathroom. It is equipped with a touchpad panel as well as an app to set and protect your password and ensure that your items are secured.

A couple of previously announced Kohler products are coming to market, too. Kohler’s US$8,000 Stillness Bath and the US$400 H2Wise, made in partnership with leak sensor company Phyn, will be available in 2022. The Stillness Bath, which takes inspiration from Japanese forest bathing, aims to replicate a spa experience with the help of light, fog and aromas. All aspects of the experience can be controlled through Kohler’s Konnect app.

In addition to all of these new bathroom products, Kohler also introduced a ceiling-mounted kitchen faucet for a whopping US$6,235. The Kohler Purist Suspend Ceiling Mount Kitchen Faucet hangs over your sink and is controlled by a wireless, waterproof puck remote control. The faucet hangs on an adjustable hose that stays at the last height it was used and the faucet head is weighted to keep it from swinging around when water flows. The hose is suspended from an arm that rotates 180 degrees and allows for a few different spray patterns.

From the puck controller, you can turn water on or off and adjust water temperature. On the faucet itself you can stop or increase the flow of water (to quickly fill a sink, for example) and increase the pressure for rinsing veggies or spraying down greasy pans. The spray face resists mineral build up, the company said.(SD-Agencies)
