Jay Qiu, G9, RDF International School With the COVID-19 and its variants rampaging across the world, there are multiple travel restrictions in places both nationwide and worldwide. The idea of a staycation — exploring and delving into where we live — has gained popularity. Traveling in a familiar city, you do not need to worry about the new quarantine measures because of new outbreaks. In the city where I live, there are several areas that are worth exploring and patronizing. There are three places that are suitable for a staycation in Shenzhen. Wutong Mountain is a good choice for you to enjoy the natural scenery and stunning view. It is the highest mountain in Shenzhen and is known for its breath-taking natural beauty. You can go hiking with your friends, breathe fresh air and enjoy the beautiful view. It is also a good way for people who sit for a long time and lack exercise to build up their bodies. Shenzhen is renowned as a bustling and vibrant city, where people want to lead a quieter and more artistic life. OCT-LOFT is a place you can appreciate the arts and enjoy a quiet environment. It was transformed from an industrial zone into a creative industry zone. You can appreciate the special design of buildings and find a coffee shop where you can read a book and enjoy the tranquil atmosphere. As one of Shenzhen’s early developed seaside parks, Dameisha Park is a place worth visiting. The park has sports areas, entertainment areas, barbecue areas, leisure areas and swimming areas. In addition, it also provides shopping malls, catering supplies and leisure tea services, which will bring more fun to your journey. It provides you with an opportunity to experience a laid-back lifestyle. I highly recommend you to choose these three places to have a staycation when you are stressed and unhappy. They are good places for you to relax and recharge without worrying about travel restrictions. |
