Art and toy exhibition by Siomeng Chan and others
    2022-01-20  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

Macao illustrator, artist and toy designer Siomeng Chan is exhibiting his Dino illustrations and art toys at Alili Art. Dino-inspired toys designed by 15 artists from China, Japan, the United States and more countries are also on display and some are for sale.

Dino is the protagonist of Chan’s “Oo Adventure” series and the pronunciation of Dino is similar to the Cantonese pronunciation of “madman.” Chan believes that good work is done with a madman mindset — unconstrained, crazy with power. To him, creating is a process of exceeding the limit. The story explores the intricate connection between humans, nature, technology and the supernatural by narrating an adventure and the relationship between Dino and other characters. The meaning of “Oo Adventure” is to let readers find their own values and emphasize the meaning of life.
