A seatbelt for bags sounds like an example of someone trying to solve a problem that barely exists. But thousands of people saw the idea fit enough to throw hard-earned money at it. Bago is described as a product designed to “keep your to-go orders and groceries secure, so you can focus on the roads.” Dan Stevenson, who invented Bago, said he came up with the idea for Bago while waiting at a stoplight two years ago. “Since then I’ve continued to think about the product and have been testing different designs and materials to find the right mix of functionality and durability,” he said. Installing the BAGO looks easy enough. You secure one end inside your vehicle’s glove compartment by simply closing its door, while the other end has a spring-loaded clip that attaches to the top of a bag on the floor mat. Once the extra slack in the dangling strap is shortened so that the package still touches the floor, the BAGO holds tightly onto the bag and keeps it upright. Stevenson raised US$3,400 on Kickstarter and US$7,500 on Indiegogo. (SD-Agencies) |
