Grabbing the tail of Spring Festival
    2022-02-14  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

A man makes nian’gao, Chinese New Year sweet rice cake, at a folk culture garden party held in Xiangmi Park, Futian District, yesterday. The cake, made of glutinous rice flour and sugar with an auspicious meaning, is a popular dessert eaten during Chinese New Year, also called the Spring Festival. A riddle-guessing festival will take place in the park tomorrow to celebrate the Lantern Festival. Falling on the 15th day of the first month of the lunar year, the Lantern Festival marks the end of the Spring Festival.            Sun Yuchen
