Bijia Hill Park opens a trail featuring nature education
    2022-02-15  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

FUTIAN District’s Bijia Hill Park recently opened a trail featuring nature education, according to the city’s urban management authority.

The trail can be reached from the park’s east gate, via Linyin Avenue. A total of eight introduction boards showing information on the park’s plants have been placed along the trail.

After hiking through the nature education trail, residents can visit the Quwei botanical garden via Anlin Trail where they can view the biggest lemon eucalyptus forest among the city’s parks.

The botanical garden is home to over 90 plants, covering around 1,000 square meters. Not far away from the garden lies a children’s playground.

Bijia Hill Park also has a nature education center, which holds regular bird-watching activities and lectures. Related information can be seen at the park’s nature education center’s WeChat account “笔架山公园自然教育中心.”

In terms of hiking, hikers and mountaineers can try the park’s 178-meter-high Biguan Peak from the east gate through Shuxiang Trail. The trek will take roughly 40 to 50 minutes on foot.

Those who just want a leisurely walk can enter the park via Bijia Hill Coridor, pass through Futian River, Shuangyan Lake, Linyin Avenue and finally arrive at the exhibition gallery.

Metro stations near the park include Lines 6 and 9’s Yinhu Station and Line 7’s Huangmugang Station. Residents can also take buses 102, 11, 209 and 302 and get off at Bijia Hill Park Station or Shenzhen Second People’s Hospital Station and then walk to the park.  (Wang Jingli)
