
Wang Jingli wangjingli0715@163.com MAO JUNFA, former vice president of Shanghai Jiao Tong University and academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), has taken a new post as the president of Shenzhen University (SZU), the university’s official website showed. Former president Li Qingquan, with a nearly 10-year tenure, will continue serving as the Party chief of SZU. Mao, born in 1965, has been long engaged in high-speed circuit interconnection and radio frequency packaging research. He has published over 400 theses including over 120 papers published by IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) and gained 30 authorized invention patents. Mao received his bachelor’s degree in radiation physics from the University of Science and Technology of National Defense, his master’s degree in experimental nuclear physics from Shanghai Institute of Nuclear Research of the CAS, and his Ph.D. in electronic engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University. From 1994 to 1996, Mao was a postdoctoral researcher of the Chinese University of Hong Kong and then the University of California, Berkeley. Mao was the recipient of the National Natural Science Award of China in 2004, the National Technology Invention Award of China in 2008, and the National Science and Technology Advancement Award of China in 2012. Mao is also an IEEE fellow, a CIE (China Institute of Electronics) fellow and the director of the Microwave Society of CIE. |
