My entrepreneurial dream
    2022-02-23  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

Freda Wen, 10D, RDF International School

Business is a diversified thing, and it is an important part of people’s life. I have had an idea to start a business since I was young.

First, I would like to talk about why I want to start my own business. I am a high school student without any interests but selling things. I tried to sell a variety of items as a child, ranging from snacks to toys, but I only sold them at school. As I grew up, I understood what business was and what the real market was. I began to set a long-term goal for myself — starting my own business.

Here’s how I see entrepreneurship: There are large-scale businesses and small-scale businesses. The risk of starting either size of business is similar. In the early stage, Bill Gates was accused of using pirated software, which almost led Microsoft to be destroyed. Therefore, I will try to control the risk in the early stage of my business. The current study will help me to build a good foundation for entrepreneurship.

As a student, what can I do for my dream? First of all, I need to study hard and be admitted to a good university to improve my knowledge and broaden my horizon. When my vision and knowledge meet the requirements, I will meet better partners who will help me pursue my goal. Second, participate in more business-related activities to increase my understanding of business which helps me to be more experienced in simulating market operations, and pay more attention to business information in my daily life. Third, do not give up and face difficulties bravely. I should learn to accept other people’s opinions based on the actual situations.

Entrepreneurship is an exciting and dangerous game. Some people can win the game through hard work while others would lose because of mistakes and laziness. In the future, I will learn from people who have business experience and try to set goals for myself according to my situation.
