Myeong-seokChae, Gounee Yang Global Economic News HYUNDAI Doosan Infracore has signed two three-year contracts with two Turkish generator manufacturers to supply 2,400 engines. Hyundai Doosan Infracore, an engine maker affiliated to Hyundai Genuine, announced that it participated in the 2022 Middle East Electricity Exhibition (MEE) from March 7 to 9, and signed engine supply contracts with Turkish companies, KJ Power and Alimar. The MEE is the world’s largest electricity and energy exhibition, which has been held in Dubai every year since 1975. Under the contracts, Hyundai Doosan Infracore will supply medium- to large-sized mechanical and electronic engines for three years starting this year. The two Turkish companies are planning to install supplied engines into the generators they export to Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. The supply contract includes a 22-liter large electronic engine DX22, which was recently developed by Hyundai Doosan Infracore. DX22 is a high-performance and eco-friendly product, which, compared to existing mechanical engines, has a 20 percent higher output and higher fuel efficiency as well as a longer replacement cycle resulting from improved component durability. Through the contracts, Hyundai Doosan Infracore will supply engines to four major Turkish generator manufacturers in total, including two existing partners, AKSA and TEXAN. |
