SAMSUNG Electronics will focus on metaverse and robot businesses as its new growth engine.

“Samsung will build sustainable business portfolios by improving the competitiveness of existing businesses and discovering new growth engines,” Samsung’s vice chairman Han Jong-hee said Wednesday.

Han said that Samsung is planning to focus on new growth businesses such as metaverse.

“The company will develop optimal metaverse devices and solutions for customers to experience metaverse anytime, anywhere,” he said at a shareholders’ meeting.

Samsung Electronics has held various marketing events, such as the Tokyo Olympics virtual stadium, Galaxy S22 unpacked event, lifestyle TV launch and the Freestyle World Map on famous metaverse platform ZEPETO.
