Jung-hee Kim, Gounee Yang Global Economic News KIA’S dedicated electric vehicle (EV) EV6 won the “EV of the year” award at the EV Awards held in South Korea for the first time this year. EV6 was awarded by South Korea’s minister of environment at the EV Awards event held at the Seoul COEX Grand Ballroom on Thursday. The EV Awards, which was held for the first time this year, is South Korea’s only EV awards organized by South Korea’s Ministy of Environment. Consumers and a group of judges consisting of experts and professors from automotive engineering departments in South Korea scored EV models released in the market. Nine pure EV models released in South Korea from last year to January this year, including Tesla’s Model Y, Audi’s e-Tron GT, and Polstar’s Polestar 2, were nominated for the award. |
