THERE were more than 500 reading activities held in the city to mark the 27th World Book and Copyright Day on April 23. The annual “Half Hour of Reading” event attracted about 140,000 people to read together offline in Guangdong Province and Macao, with 729 reading points set up in the region. Main venues this year were set up in Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Dongguan and Macao to encourage people to read more.
