Combined port

COMMODITIES to be exported from Xingang Pier in Yunfu in Guangdong Province via Shekou Port won’t need to undergo a second customs clearance before being sent to other parts of the world under the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Combined Port Program.

The Yunfu-Shekou Combined Port, which started operations on May 2, not only reduces logistics time but also lowers customs clearance costs by 30%.

So far, 16 ports in Pearl River Delta cities have joined the program which takes advantage of the Pearl River estuary and Shenzhen Port’s ocean shipments.

During the first quarter of this year, the combined ports’ throughput reached 54,000 TEUs (twenty-foot equivalent units), six times that of the figure of 2021.

Coolest May Day

ON May 2, Shenzhen’s minimum temperature reached 15.3 degrees Celsius, the lowest from May 1 to 3 since the city’s meteorological records began in 1953, sources from Shenzhen Meteorological Observatory showed.

Shenzhen residents experienced a cool holiday with the wind and rain for the first part of the May Day holiday.

Affected by wind and rain, Shenzhen residents experienced a cool holiday in the first half of the May Day holiday.
