Understanding Chinese culture through food
    2022-05-27  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

Kiara Lynn Garcia Hernandez from the U.S. displays zongzi she made in Nan’ao in Dapeng New Area on Thursday. She learned making zongzi from Zhang Zhangmei, the fifth-generation inheritor of the Nan’ao sea urchin zongzi cooking techniques, in an activity Thursday to mark the Dragon Boat Festival, which falls on June 3. Nan’ao sea urchin zongzi cooking techniques, with a 200-year history, were listed a city-level intangible cultural heritage in 2021.                                                                                                                           Liu Xudong
