‘Samajam’

Young pianist Pan Yumeng who graduated from Eastman School of Music in the United States will play Debussy’s “Clair de Lune,” Liszt’s “Petrarch Sonnet 104,” Boulez’s “12 Notations for Piano,” Granados’ “Poetic Waltzes,” Brahms’ “Piano Sonata No. 3” and Tan Dun’s “Eight Memories in Watercolor.”

Fossils and woodcarvings

To find out what was going on in the oceans when dinosaurs dominated the land, visit the marine reptile fossil specimen exhibition which runs until Aug. 14. You will see some complete fossils of prehistoric sea animals. Meanwhile, exquisite gold-coated woodcarvings and gold lacquer items collected by the Shenzhen Museum and Guangdong Folk Craft Museum are also on display until Oct. 8.
