Limacher showcases paintings at ‘Unbounded • Breathe’
    2022-05-30  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

Switzerland-based artist Claudia Limacher is exhibiting her paintings at the “Unbounded • Breathe” exhibition at Bravo Arts in Galaxy Top Living Space.

Limacher uses a variety of materials in her paintings to convey her emotions. Her wish for her artwork is that it will draw the viewers’ attention into the composition, bringing viewers to a thoughtful pause as their feelings or dreams find form through the colorful depths.

“For me, painting is a process of experimental development. The interaction of different media and colors provide endless inspiration. The inner communication starts intuitively. Using mixed media, I am free and unbound. The incomprehensible is transferred into colors and takes shape to make the invisible visible,” she said.

The texture of Limacher’s brushstrokes is iterated through orderly and gradual layering and shaping, and viewers can sense the energy under these layers, giving the whole painting a dynamic beauty. Each of her paintings is a unique communication and speaks of its own life. Through some wild strokes, like splashes of sparkles, one can feel that life should blossom freely like these beautiful colors.

Limacher spends most of her life in the vicinity of nature, drawing inspiration from forests, lakes, mountains, music, life experiences and thoughts. By blurring the border between reality and illusion, she leads viewers to become lost and immersed in the world of colors she has woven.

Limacher has held exhibitions in many countries and regions around the world, and her works can be found in various private collections in Europe, the United States and Asia.
