Enjoy yourself at new sports complex in Longhua District
    2022-06-24  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

The Longhua Cultural and Sports Center, the largest multipurpose cultural and sports complex in Longhua District, recently opened to the public.

The new center, covering 64,000 square meters with a floor area of 110,000 square meters, has a 6,478-seat comprehensive gymnasium, a training hall, a soccer field, a 400-meter running track, a constant-temperature indoor swimming pool and a rooftop park with a jogging greenway and children’s recreational facilities.

The comprehensive gymnasium can also accommodate exhibitions and entertainment shows, and will host sports games in the future. The training hall can be used for badminton, basketball and table tennis training.

The center is a smart venue covered by a 5G network and is equipped with a digital twin (a virtual representation that serves as the real-time digital counterpart of a physical object or process). To provide visitors with safe, efficient use of the facilities and services, state-of-the-art features are provided by the center, including a smart seat-finding system, body temperature monitoring devices, a smart drowning detection system, virtual guides on information screens and a facial recognition access system.

Currently, a sports-themed illustration exhibition is being held at the corridor near Gate No. 2 of the center through Aug. 18. The illustrators use painting aesthetics to show the power and charm of sports as well as the beauty of Chinese culture and world civilization.

Locals can book their visit on the “i深圳” app, a one-stop booking function for more than 1,300 sports venues across the city. Or you can simply follow the WeChat account “WenhuaLonghua” and then click “一键预约” on the menu to book your visit to any sports and cultural venue in Longhua.

Venue: Longhua Cultural and Sports Center, Qingquan Road, Longhua District (龙华区清泉路龙华文体中心)

Metro: Line 4 to Qinghu Station (清湖站), Exit D (Cao Zhen)
