THE University of Hong Kong (HKU) signed a framework agreement on strategic cooperation with the Qianhai Authority on Thursday in Qianhai, with the aim to promote technology innovation between Shenzhen and Hong Kong and explore rules convergence.

According to the agreement, both parties will set up a fintech research institution and an advanced technology park in Qianhai. They will foster the development of fintech and green finance related industries and work on related regulations. They also plan to cultivate talent and accelerate technological development and commercialization.

They announced to set up a Hong Kong youth entrepreneurship college in Qianhai, offering training, incubation and practice for Hong Kong youth.
