‘The Face of Eternal Life’

“The Face of Eternal Life — Egypt and Its Golden Mummies,” running until Sept. 11, showcases over 100 ancient Egyptian relics including golden mummies, masks and portraints from the Manchester Museum’s extensive Egyptology collection. The exhibition is free.

‘The Lost Kingdom’

A free exhibition of bronzewares from the ancient Dian kingdom in Southwest China’s Yunnan Province gives a glimpse into the history and culture of the area from 2,000 years ago. The exhibition runs until Sept. 18.

Fossils and woodcarvings

You will see complete fossils of prehistoric sea animals at a free exhibition until Aug. 14. Exquisite gold-coated woodcarvings and gold lacquer items crafted in Guangdong are on display until Oct. 8.

Sea World

An exhibition (128 yuan) running until Oct. 8 features up to 80 iconic haute couture and ready-to-wear collections by Dutch duo Viktor & Rolf. “The Previous and Present Lives of Memphis Style” (88 yuan), which runs until July 31, shows dazzling designs from the Memphis Group.

Guan Shanyue Art Museum

AR and VR tools help to explain artistic techniques and tell the stories behind Guan Shanyue’s paintings at the “Infinite” exhibition, which runs until Aug. 21. Meanwhile, the “High Road Leads to the Cloud” exhibition running until next year features Jinggangshan-themed paintings created by Guan. The exhibitions are free.

‘Tracing Peach Blossom Spring’

‘Me and I’

Chinese illustrator Lu Tao, better known as Oamul, is exhibiting his works at the “Me and I” exhibition (78 yuan) until Aug. 31. His illustrations reconnect with the beauty of nature as well as the small things in life.

‘The Invisible’

“The Invisible: Art at the X-Ray” (10 yuan), running until July 28, showcases x-ray artwork by French artist Xavier Lucchesi who believes x-rays allow him to see through matter, revealing the underlying forms, repentances, and stages of creation of works.
