When I first arrived in Shenzhen in August 2005, little did I know that I would be embarking on one of the most memorable jobs in my career, but that is indeed how it turned out: Years later, I still consider Shenzhen Daily one of my favorite places to have ever worked at. It was not just the level of skills and professionalism in the newsroom, filled with editors and journalists absolutely dedicated to their craft. It was also the warmth and hospitality that all my colleagues showed to me, all the way from the chief editor to the junior-most reporter. Spending time with them made my stint at the newspaper feel less like a job and more like a fun adventure. A very happy 25th anniversary to Shenzhen Daily! I look forward to Paul Shen and his excellent team taking it to even greater heights. Ranajit Sankar Dam in Singapore |
