    2022-08-25  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

A RUSSIAN student, Daria Gurianova, released a series of videos sharing her life in Shenzhen on the Chinese YouTube-like platform Bilibili, and one of the videos published June 17 had garnered over 26,000 views as of yesterday.

The Russian student, who would like to go by the name of Daria, arrived in the city this April and is a postgraduate student at Peking University HSBC Business School in Shenzhen, according to Shenzhen Evening News.

In the video, she recorded a lovely night in the city, having dinner and strolling around with her friends.

“Before coming to Shenzhen, I have been to China many times and traveled a lot. I found myself so fond of Guangdong that I have been dreaming of staying in China after graduation,” Daria said.

From Daria’s point of view, Peking University HSBC Business School is a perfect choice for her, because it is one of the best universities in China and is located in Shenzhen.

Speaking of her impression of Shenzhen, Daria said it is a city of innovation with beautiful natural sceneries which is important for nature lovers like her.

Qianhai is the most impressive place in her mind. “I was impressed by the charm of high-tech enterprises when I was invited to an activity with other expat friends in Qianhai,” she said.

As for future plans in Shenzhen, Daria would like to try something new and introduce more of the city’s interesting places and cultures to foreign viewers, letting the world learn more about the city, according to the report.

Daria’s Bilibili account has over 3,200 fans, as per the report. In her latest video, she also shared some favorite Cantonese traditional food like Walnut Crisp and rice noodles. (Huang Jieqi, Wang Jingli)
