Edgar Plans’ works

Spanish artist Edgar Plans has brought his Little Hero character in a basketball-themed exhibition titled “Game On!” (78 yuan) running until Sept. 20. Wearing NBA jerseys, Little Hero has been transformed into Magic Johnson, Larry Bird, Michael Jordan, LeBron James and other stars in an array of colorful sculptures.

‘Me and I’

Chinese illustrator Lu Tao is exhibiting his works at the “Me and I” exhibition (48 yuan) until Sept. 4. His illustrations reflect the seasons around him. They allow him to slow down and take time to reconnect with the beauty of nature as well as the small things in life.

Ukiyo-e

Ukiyo-e woodblock prints by renowned Japanese masters, including Katsushika Hokusai, Utagawa Kuniyoshi, Utagawa Hiroshige and Kitagawa Utamaro, as well as immersive multimedia screens, are on display at an exhibition (119 yuan) running until Oct. 16.

Sea World

An exhibition (128 yuan) running until Oct. 8 features iconic collections by Dutch duo Viktor & Rolf. At the “Wish You Were Here” exhibition (128 yuan) running until Oct. 16, Maurizio Cattelan presents more than 20 playful and thought-provoking works. Moreover, “The Previous and Present Lives of Memphis Style,” which runs until Sept. 11, shows dazzling designs of the Memphis Group. The “Chirping in the Forbidden City” exhibition (48 yuan) running until Oct. 8 presents a selection of bird species depicted in the “Album of Birds,” published in the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911). Each species is endowed with an animated figure.
