Shen Shaomin’s art

The “Shen Shaomin’s Brief History of Science” exhibition reflects Chinese contemporary artist Shen Shaomin’s understanding of the world including his doubts on scientific development. This free exhibition features Shen’s creations from recent years, focusing on three fields: art, poetry and science, which not only extends his early exploration of the relationship between art and science, but also presents the artist’s unique interdisciplinary perspective.

Indoor ‘rainforest’

Discover an indoor “rainforest” in Futian! A specially designed area in the Link Central Walk shopping mall features lush foliage and a cottage, as well as creepy snakes, lizards, beetles and geckos. A 15-meter-tall LED screen displaying a huge waterfall and a mist sprayed on the hour from noon to 9 p.m. every day add an enhanced visual effect in the 200-square-meter space, which makes you feel as if you are in the Amazon.

‘Me and I’

Chinese illustrator Lu Tao is exhibiting his works at the “Me and I” exhibition (48 yuan) until Sept. 11. His illustrations reflect the seasons around him. They allow him to slow down and take time to reconnect with the beauty of nature as well as the small things in life.

Contemporary art

Sixty artworks by contemporary artists from around the world, such as Chiharu Shiota, Bobbie Burgers, Egami Etsu, Matias Sánchez, Yoshitomo Nara and Kaws, are on display at an exhibition (48 yuan, including a cup of coffee) running until Sept. 18.
