
Technicians work on the Baihetan-Zhejiang 800-kilovolt ultra-high-voltage (UHV) direct current power transmission project over the Yangtze River in Southwest China’s Chong-qing yesterday. The construction of the line across the Yangtze River of the Chongqing section was completed yesterday. Covering a total length of 2,140 kilometers, the project stretching from Baihetan in Southwest China’s Sichuan Province to East China’s Zhejiang Province is an important part of the country’s west-to-east power transmission program.
