It goes without saying that the internet plays a significant role in our lives. From time to time people get into heated discussions about whether the digital world is better than the pre-digital world. In my view, I think that the digital world is better than the pre-digital world.

The first thing to note is how much easier and quicker communication is possible in the digital world. People can communicate with their friends and family by using software on their mobile phones, such as WeChat and QQ.

In the past, people could only interact with their friends by writing letters or having face-to-face talks.

It was difficult to keep in touch with a friend living far away. In this respect, the digital world is better than the pre-digital world.

My second argument is that the digital world makes life easier for everyone. As we all know, nowadays people need nothing but a mobile phone when they leave home, with which they can do many things such as making a payment, calling a taxi and ordering food. People can order food and pay bills by scanning the QR code on a restaurant’s table, which definitely saves a lot of time and trouble. In the past, people carried a lot of cash and spent time waiting in a queue to pay their bills.

Nowadays, when people are busy with their work or are unwilling to cook, they can order takeout on such Apps as Meituan and Ele.me.

While waiting for the food to be brought to our doorstep, we can do whatever we like. These digital tools absolutely save time, improve our quality of living and make life more efficient.

In conclusion, I strongly believe that the digital world is better than the pre-digital world.

With advanced technology, people are enjoying a much more convenient and comfortable life.
