Ancient mirrors, books

Finely printed ancient Chinese books collected by Shenzhen Museum are on display through Oct. 30. A new exhibition is displaying more than 70 highly decorative bronze mirrors from the Han Dynasty (202 B.C.-A.D. 220). The mirror exhibition runs until Dec. 24.

Julian Opie, classic photos

British visual artist Julian Opie is holding his solo exhibition “OP.VR/HEM@shenzhen” (78 yuan) until Jan. 31, 2023. Opie is best known for his conceptual art installations and his ability to capture the essence of the human form in motion. And a total of 170 classic photos from the National Geographic magazine are on display at another exhibition (78 yuan) running until Nov. 13.

Masterpieces

Enjoy works from the Post-Impressionism, Fauvism, Surrealism, Ukiyo-e, Cubism and other genres by 50 masters at an exhibition (118 yuan) until Oct. 30. Featured artists include Jules Chéret, André Derain, Rene Gruau, Alphonse Mucha and Maurice Sendak.

‘Future Returns’

Artworks by 44 masters including Zao Wou-ki, Salvador Dali, Juan Miro, Andy Warhol and Rene Magritte are on display at the “Future Returns” exhibition, which is divided in five sections: “Surrealism,” “Abstract Expressionism,” “Pop Art,” “Conceptual Art” and “New Painting and Art From 1988 Onwards.” The exhibition (98 yuan) runs until Dec. 31.

Lu Pingyuan’s artworks

Chinese artist Lu Pingyuan is exhibiting his contemporary artworks inspired by the German fairy tale “Hansel and Gretel” at an exhibition running until Oct. 30.
