Ancient mirrors

More than 70 highly decorative bronze mirrors from the Han Dynasty (202 B.C.-A.D. 220) are on display at an exhibition running until Dec. 24.

‘Variation’

Lisson Gallery and ArtBay are presenting the “Variation” exhibition, featuring works by Tony Cragg, Ryan Gander, Shirazeh Houshiary, Anish Kapoor, Liu Xiaodong, Jason Martin, Nathalie Djunberg & Hans Berg, Rodney Graham, Christopher Le Brun and Tatsuo Miyajima. The free exhibition runs until Nov. 6.

Moriyama’s photos

Photos by Daidō Moriyama are on display at the “Seeping Into Darkness” exhibition running until Nov. 8. Moriyama is known for his grainy, high-contrast black-and-white photos of Tokyo street scenes taken by a compact 35mm camera that capture a sensuous yet destabilized urban society.

Measure-inspired art

Artist Shen Shaomin is exploring the world of “measure” by launching the “Measure” exhibition running until Nov. 11. It features his canvas paintings inspired by rulers and measurement. If viewers could spend a bit more time observing the paintings, they could sense the artist’s unique vision.

‘Abstract Doodlism’

Sam Cox, known under the moniker Mr Doodle, is displaying his graffiti works at the “Abstract Doodlism” exhibition (58 yuan) running until Nov. 20.
