Julian Opie

British visual artist Julian Opie is holding his solo exhibition “OP.VR/HEM@shenzhen” (78 yuan) until Jan. 31, 2023. Opie is best known for his conceptual art installations and his ability to capture the essence of the human form in motion.

New media artworks

New media artist Cao Yuxi’s “Solidified Dimension” exhibition (58 yuan), running until this Saturday, consists of new media works based on AI algorithm. Shenzhen artist Zhou Yuan’s free exhibition “One Falls Another Rises,” running until Nov. 29, features pottery and porcelain pieces as well as ink paintings.

Ancient mirrors

More than 70 highly decorative bronze mirrors from the Han Dynasty (202 B.C.-A.D. 220) are on display at an exhibition running until Dec. 24.

Contemporary art

The “Shen Shaomin’s Brief History of Science” exhibition reflects artist Shen Shaomin’s understanding of the world, including his doubts on scientific development. The exhibition features Shen’s creations focusing on art, poetry and science. The “Wang Chuan: Circumference” exhibition displays 23 paintings created by Wang Chuan since 1985. The ending dates for both exhibitions have not yet been announced.

‘Blink Blink’

Hong Kong designer Hong Ko is exhibiting his artworks at the “Blink Blink” exhibition until Nov. 30. Layers of pre-designed film, vibrant airbrush lines and shimmering mirrored materials are presented in his sculptures and paintings.
