THE 2022 China Atomic Manufacturing Summit was held in Shenzhen during the 24th China Hi-Tech Fair, which concluded Saturday.

Academicians from the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), namely Wang Enge, Xie Suyuan, Xu Hongxing and Yan Chunhua, gave keynote speeches and exchanged ideas on ultra-micro manufacturing technologies and industrial applications at the summit. The two-day event was jointly organized by the Guangming Science City Development Construction Co. Ltd. and Nanjing Atomic Manufacturing Research Institute.

In a video speech, Jiang Yuyang, chairman of Shenzhen Science and Technology Association, said that atomic manufacturing is a disruptive technology which can provide a new trajectory for the development of future manufacturing via basic research.

Xu Enli, vice president of Shum Yip Group Ltd., said that one of Shum Yip’s missions is to explore the integrated development of newly emerging industries with the city through scientific innovation. Shum Yip, as a State-owned enterprise, will serve the city’s social and economic development with first-class industrial and environment services.

During the event, over 100 experts and scholars shared their insights on atomic manufacturing through the lectures and reports on relevant topics such as advanced semi-conductors, atomic-level catalyst materials and special metals.
