‘Future Returns’

Artworks by 44 masters including Zao Wou-ki, Salvador Dali, Juan Miro, Andy Warhol and Rene Magritte are on display at the “Future Returns” exhibition, which is divided in five sections: “Surrealism,” “Abstract Expressionism,” “Pop Art,” “Conceptual Art” and “New Painting and Art From 1988 Onwards.” The exhibition (98 yuan) runs until Dec. 31.

Julian Opie

British visual artist Julian Opie is holding his solo exhibition “OP.VR/HEM@shenzhen” (78 yuan) until Jan. 31, 2023. Opie is best known for his conceptual art installations and his ability to capture the essence of the human form in motion.

‘Flow: Graphics in Motion’

“Flow: Graphics in Motion,” a free exhibition running until Jan. 5, 2023, presents more than 100 motion graphic design works by 25 top designers and studios from 10 countries.

Venue: C2 Space, North Area, OCT-LOFT, Nanshan District (华侨城创意文化园北区C2展厅)

Immersive exhibition

An exhibition (128 yuan) running until Feb. 26, 2023 crosses boundaries between art and science. It includes two parts, “Mutation” and “Ukiyo-e Visions,” created by Danny Rose Studio. Using projection mapping technology and dynamic sound spatialization, “Mutation” offers an immersive synesthetic experience for visitors. “Ukiyo-e Visions” is inspired by the expressive ukiyo-e art from Japan.

‘Qilililith’s Fairy Tale Book’

The “Qilililith’s Fairy Tale Book” exhibition running until Dec. 15 puts the “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland” characters in the spotlight once more. Young Chinese illustrator Qilililith (Zhao Qili) is exhibiting her illustrations and sculptures inspired by Lewis Carroll’s timeless tale. Entry is free.
