Shenzhen Symphony Orchestra will play Rachmaninoff’s “Vocalise,” “Piano Concerto No. 1” and “Piano Concerto No. 4” on Friday night (50-880 yuan). Shen Lu will be the soloist and Lin Daye will wield the baton.

On Saturday night (980-380 yuan), young pianist Luo Wei will play a selection of works by Bartok, Debussy, Albeniz and Balakirev.

On Sunday night (180-680 yuan), bass-baritone Shen Yang, actor David Wang and pianist Zhang Yiming will present a night of Chinese art songs, with lyrics from Tang Dynasty (618-907) poems.

‘Crested Ibises’

Shanghai Dance Theater’s signature dance drama “Crested Ibises” shows the elegance of the crested ibis, an endangered species, and calls for animal protection. Traditional Chinese dance gestures are used in upper body movements, while ballet and Western dance elements are featured in the footwork.
