THE 65 subvenues for the 18th China (Shenzhen) International Cultural Industries Fair (ICIF) will organize over 300 cultural-themed exhibition and transaction activities during its run.

Among the subvenues, Longgang, Nanshan and Bao’an have the biggest number of subvenues with 15, 13 and 12  respectively.

In terms of cultural digitalization strategy, Fantawild Group in Nanhshan District, a leading cultural technology enterprise in China covering cultural and technology theme parks and animated movies, will introduce multiple interactive cultural and tourism products such as Beautiful China VR, online gaming products such as Jungle Shooter and the stage drama “Boonie Bears.” The company is now operating over 30 theme parks in the county and its original animation works have been circulated in more than 130 countries worldwide.

Sage Innopark, which houses over 100 enterprises in the digital creation industry, will organize a series of digital creation-related activities such as a digital culture exhibition and a digital culture forum, as well as dialogues.

In terms of transactions, the Shuibei subvenue in Luohu District will launch new jewelry designs and an e-commerce livestreaming festival. The Dafen Oil Painting Village and Artron (Shenzhen) Art Center will organize the 2022 autumn auction to sell 60 pieces of contemporary artworks.

During the fair, the 2022 OCT-LOFT Creation Festival will also be held to display  over 100 motion designs.

In the course of a decade, Shenzhen’s cultural industry has kept an annual growth of 15%, with its added value currently exceeding 250 billion yuan (US$35.91 billion), accounting for 8% of the city’s total GDP. Shenzhen now has one State-level cultural industry demonstration park, nine State-level cultural demonstration bases, nine provincial-level cultural industry demonstration bases and 71 city-level cultural industry parks.

Shenzhen is also home to a batch of renowned enterprises in creation design, animation, cultural tourism, high-end printing, gold and jewelry, and cultural equipment research and manufacturing. Companies such as Tencent, iDreamsky, Global Digital and Huaqiang Digital Animation showed their prowess in the digital industry.
