Passport/visa issuance to resume from Jan. 8
    2022-12-28  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

A man walks past the departure hall of Futian Checkpoint yesterday. The checkpoint, closed more than two years ago due to the pandemic, is one of several major passenger checkpoints between Shenzhen and Hong Kong. The National Immigration Administration said yesterday that it will resume Chinese citizens’ applications for ordinary passports for the purposes of tourism and visits abroad, as well as the processing of endorsements for Chinese mainland residents to visit the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region for tourism and business purposes from Jan. 8, 2023. Services related to the application for ordinary visas, stay permits, and residence permits by foreigners will be resumed, the administration said. (More on Page 4) Lin Min
