
A staffer works at Hong Kong West Kowloon Railway Station yesterday, when high-speed train services between Hong Kong and the Chinese mainland began trial operations after having been suspended for nearly three years due to the pandemic. The date for the resumption has yet to be confirmed but the Hong Kong government earlier said it plans to gradually resume normal cross-boundary travel in mid-January.
