    2023-01-30  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

SHENZHEN saw its gross domestic product (GDP) reach nearly 3.24 trillion yuan (US$477.4 billion) in 2022, up 3.3% year on year, according to the municipal statistics bureau Saturday.

The total added value of the city’s industrial enterprises above designated size exceeded 1 trillion yuan for the first time in 2022. The city’s gross industrial output value above designated size reached about 4.55 trillion yuan in 2022.

Additionally, the added value of the city’s seven strategic emerging industries (20 industrial clusters) topped 1.3 trillion yuan, accounting for over 40% of the city’s GDP. Among them, six industrial clusters including intelligent connected vehicles, new materials, new energy, software and information services, high-end medical devices and the marine economy maintained a double-digit growth last year.
