City builds three NEV mechanical parking systems
    2023-02-14  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

SHENZHEN is building three mechanical parking systems for new energy vehicles (NEVs) with a total floor area of over 300,000 square meters, according to the city’s transport bureau.

The mechanical parking systems can accommodate over 2,500 vehicles with nearly 400 charging piles, Nanfang Plus reported recently.

One of the mechanical parking systems is located at the junction of the Guangzhou-Shenzhen Expressway and Fenghuangshan Boulevard in Bao’an District. At present, the project’s main structure has been topped off.

The 10-story Fenghuangshan comprehensive mechanical parking system, equipped with 65 charging piles, will be able to accommodate 575 buses and 298 cars at most.

The other two mechanical parking systems under construction are both located in Longhua District, with one in Guanlan with 120 charging piles and the other in Minzhi with 208 charging piles.

Each covers a floor area of about 100,000 square meters, with a total of 855 aboveground and 778 underground parking spaces, respectively.

The mechanical parking systems will adopt many intelligent designs not only for bus operation and maintenance, but also for meeting requirements for environmental protection, lighting, ventilation, fire protection and energy conservation.
