BUSINESSES at several Shenzhen checkpoints have been reviving since the full resumption of travel between the mainland and Hong Kong started early this month. Due to the three-year cross-border travel restrictions, many shop owners closed their brick-and-mortar stores at various Shenzhen checkpoints and turned to online business. Some suffered a lot since most of their clients were from Hong Kong. When the cross-border travel between the mainland and Hong Kong fully resumed Feb. 6, more and more businesspersons returned to their shops, preparing goods to welcome old and new customers. Once again, hustle and bustle is taking place in checkpoint shops. (Cao Zhen) |
