Workers watch as the first pile foundation of the Shenzhen section of Shenzhen-Jiangmen High-speed Railway is driven into the ground Thursday, marking the beginning of the main construction on the project. The 116-kilometer railway begins at Xili in Shenzhen and passes through Dongguan, Guangzhou and Zhongshan before ending in Jiangmen City in Guangdong Province.
