Take a stroll on Guiwan Park’s cool new bridges
    2023-02-17  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

GUIWAN Park in Qianhai has always been a popular spot for Shenzheners to escape the concrete jungle and reconnect with nature. Now this belt-shaped park has added three bridges, which stitch together the north and south halves of the park that are otherwise split by a river.

The C-shaped bridges, named Xianyun, Lingbo and Yuanmeng, provide convenient access to different sections of the park. Hidden sprinklers for cooling in the summer and decorative lights on the bridges help visitors relax and comfortably enjoy the new vistas of Qianhai.

Guiwan Park features seawater and freshwater wetlands and vast green parkland. Plants in the park have created a more resilient ecology while supporting a variety of habitats and retaining and cleaning storm water. The landscape is a feast for the eyes and in the park’s vibrant public spaces, people can camp, picnic and play within recreational facilities.

If you walk westward along the river, you can get to two seaside parks, Qianhai Stone Park and Qianhai Performance Park, where you can enjoy the picturesque Qianhai Bay seaview and spectacular sunsets.

Qianhai Stone Park is famous for a big yellow stone, which has the word “Qianhai” engraved on it. In Qianhai Performance Park, you can have a distant glimpse of the Bay Glory Ferris wheel. Both are comfortable, dynamic and recreational parks in Qianhai’s continuous green ecological network.
