NINE companies from Shenzhen had their programs chosen as national demonstration programs for industrial internet application in 2022 by the Ministry of Industry and Information.

The demonstration programs are categorized into different types such as factories, carriers, industrial parks, network platforms and safety, according to a release from the city industry and information bureau recently.

Hytera, a benchmark enterprise for the city’s industrial internet application, entered the list for its full 5G connectivity. The 5G technologies applied at its manufacturing base in Longgang reduced 20% of its operation costs, 30% of its management cost in production and improved production capacity by 20%.

Shenzhen Jiayuntong Electronics Co. Ltd., providing work safety solutions for heaters in the oil field, realizes intelligent temperature control, risk forecast, maintenance and effect analysis based on internet, AI and big data analysis. The company’s service platform was used in 1,200 heaters of over 100 oil fields across China.

Other companies with programs that were chosen as demonstration programs include Kingdee Software (China) Co. Ltd., Shenzhen Mixlinker Network Co. Ltd., CGN Intelligence Technologies Co. Ltd., Shenzhen Power Leader Computer Systems Co. Ltd. and Shenzhen Sogaa Technologies Co. Ltd.

The CIMC Shared Service Center and Foxconn Industrial Internet Co. Ltd. also have their programs chosen as demonstration programs in the network and work safety categories.

So far, 18 enterprises from Shenzhen have their programs chosen as national demonstration programs, pushing forward four platforms chosen as national cross-boundary and cross-field industrial internet platforms.

Shenzhen will build 10,000 5G base stations in 2023, according to an action plan issued released by the bureau Tuesday.

Since 2019, Shenzhen has built over 65,000 5G base stations, with users exceeding 10 million. By the end of 2023, the city’s 5G base stations will be distributed at a density of 42 per 10,000 people and 37 per square kilometer.
