A FIVE-DAY bazaar for young people from Shenzhen, Hong Kong and other cities in Guangdong Province opened at the north part of the Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Youth Innovation and Entrepreneur Hub yesterday afternoon.

The bazaar gathered 12 handicraft, sports, music and nature education clubs, as well as 50 gourmet merchants from Hong Kong and Shenzhen. It will also hold more than 30 free social activities, creating a “social playground” for young people from Hong Kong, Shenzhen and the rest of Guangdong.

The bazaar’s first two days feature food markets offering authentic Hong Kong snacks, hand drip coffee, yakitori, etc. The bazaar operates from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m., and from March 10 to 12, it will be divided into day and night camps.

During the day camps, activities such as a lion dance, a surfskate contest, insect knowledge teachings, frisbee competitions and band performances will be held. For the night camps, a food market will be available every night, and various activities including a Hong Kong movie showing, an impromptu drama workshop, a wine tasting and a grass swing party will be held.

The day camps run from 3 to 6 p.m. and the night camps run from 6 to 10 p.m. The bazaar is located near Exit A of Metro Line 1’s Liyumen Station.

The bazaar is sponsored by Qianhai Service Group and is organized by the Qianhai Office Park Operation Co. Ltd. to help young people meet more like-minded friends and contacts.
