Mask mandate lifted at schools
    2023-03-15  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

STUDENTS and teachers in Shenzhen are no longer required to wear masks on campuses, as per the country’s latest COVID-19 epidemic control plans for schools and universities Monday.

The plans, jointly issued by the Ministry of Education, National Health Commission and the National Administration of Disease Prevention and Control, also said that students and teachers can choose to wear masks based on their health conditions.

Medical workers, canteen staffers, dormitory superintendents, deliverymen, security personnel and janitors still need to wear surgical masks. If an outbreak occurs, teachers, students and workers should resume wearing masks, according to the plans.

If someone tests positive for COVID-19 at a school, students in the same class, their teachers and staffers who had close contact with the patient must wear masks for five days and monitor their health, as per the plans.
