TUCKED away in lush mountains, many villages across China were barely known to the outside world in the past but now villagers are taking advantage of their unique local culture and ecology to renovate the villages and develop rural tourism. The integration of agriculture and tourism is a breakthrough for realizing rural revitalization and also enhances villagers’ awareness of cultural and ecological protection. Blooming flowers, specialty food, leisure farms and ancient townships with convenient home stays are attracting throngs of tourists this spring.
