Direct flights with Taipei to resume

SHENZHEN will have 21 direct flights a week with Taipei, Taiwan starting from Sunday, according to a press release from the WeChat account of the Shenzhen Municipal Transport Bureau yesterday.

Four airline companies, namely Shenzhen Airlines, China Southern Airlines, China Airlines and UNI Air, will engage in the cross-Strait flight services.

Shenzhen Airlines will operate its daily flights departing at 9:25 a.m. Sunday and arriving in Taipei at 11:25 a.m.

China Airlines will resume its service at around 6 p.m. Sunday and have five flights a week except Tuesdays and Saturdays.

UNI Air will resume its flights starting from March 30 and will operate every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday.

China Southern Airlines will resume its service starting from March 31 with six flights a week except Tuesdays.

In the new summer and autumn flight season, China Southern Airlines will operate 81 domestic routes departing from Shenzhen and Huizhou airports, according to the airline’s announcement yesterday. The airline will operate 14 flights to Beijing and 13 flights to Shanghai every day. It will also operate nine flights to Hangzhou, five flights to Nanjing and four flights to Hefei every day to meet passengers’ demands to travel to East China cities.

Starting Sunday, seven flights a day will land at the Tianfu airport in Chengdu, while there will be four flights a day to Chongqing.
