Charity program

A CHARITY program called “Plan for Tomorrow,” which was initiated by the Shenzhen Municipal Civil Affairs Bureau in 2004, has helped over 2,926 orphans and donated about 25 million yuan (US$3.65 million) over the past 19 years, according to the bureau.

With the program, more and more disabled orphans received surgeries, or got adopted by families at home and abroad, or got job opportunities after training, Shenzhen Special Zone Daily said.

STARTING Monday, the No.1 and No.2 parking lots of Shenzhen Bay Park will be closed for a renovation project. The project will be carried out for a month as scheduled, according to a notice released by Shenzhen Bay Park on Wednesday.
