People enjoy playing sports at Futian Haibin Eco-sports Park in Futian District. Built on a water purification plant, the park is the only one of its kind in China and part of the under-construction “aerial sports center.” Phase II of the water purification plant, which began construction in February, is expected to be completed and put into use by the end of 2025, bringing the park’s total area to about 140,000 square meters and better meeting the needs of nearby residents for high-quality sports and cultural facilities.
